We will then visit an Aloe Vera plantation, famous for its healing properties, and there we will get to know how to use it.
From there we will proceed towards the idyllic village of Teror, well-known for its balconies and the Basilica of La Virgen del Pino.
We continue through the centre of the island to contemplate the most important natural area of the island, the Roque Nublo. We finish visiting the village of Fataga, known as the thousand-palm-valley.

Fantastic. So many hidden gems
I would definitely reccomend this trip, if you're staying in a more tourist style area. You see a different side to GC. Miguel the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable the driver was fantastic navigating through the mountains too
This is a really long day but well worth it. I saw parts of the island I’d never visited and really enjoyed it. Miguel the guide spoke everything in 3 languages and Lessandro the driver was amazing round some windy roads in the mountains with barely enough room for two cars, let alone a big coach. We saw scenery, had a menú de día lunch (not included €12), saw picturesque towns and views to die for. Recommended.
Great trip for a start of the adventure on the island - the guide is knowledgeable and shows many of the iconic landmarks of the island. Worth your time and money.
Limiting the number of participants would be a thing to consider, but it's not a tragedy.
A good tour of all the touristic highlights of Gran Canaria
This tour will take you on a one-day trip all around Gran Canaria to see most of the touristic spots.
Our guide gave plenty information about the highlights, but also about the island in general. The tour contains really interesting spots and info, and ends with a visit to an aloe vera farm.
I only gave four stars instead of five because I would've loved to spend some time in the historic center of Las Palmas, which is not on the tour.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to learn more about the island.
A good trip for island newbies!
A few things to consider if you're thinking of booking this trip:
- it's a long day - we got the bus at 09:40 and got dropped back at our hotel at 18:40.
- 70% of this trip is being on the coach: you get some great views, but stops are very quick. The longest stop was lunch, just under an hour!
- lunch is "optional" but not really. You are driven to a restaurant that do a 3 course meal for €12. A very good deal, but there are no other options if you don't want this (some people on our trip had pack lunches which is worth noting).
- not sure if this was just our trip, but the majority of the guests were Spanish, and our guide often forgot/shortened the English translation down, so we got little information towards the end of the day.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and are glad we did this trip, however I don't think it is as advertised and further information should be provided (such as the lunch situation and brief tour stops).
