Koala Garden Suites is a large holiday complex set in extensive tropical gardens two kilometers from Maspalomas Beach in Gran Canaria. The 233 air-conditioned apartments are set in two-story blocks and distributed in five areas of the complex. All have simple modern decor with blue fabrics, and terraces or balconies with tables and reclining chairs. The living areas include sofas and kitchenettes with hobs and refrigerators. Amenities include satellite television, direct-dial phones, safes and bathrooms with separate tubs and showers. The complex offers a self-service buffet for breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant with grill dishes and pizzas served in the informal snack bar. For drinks in the evening, El Trigal Bar is open until midnight. The complex is divided into five areas, each of which has its own outdoor swimming pool and children's pool set in gardens sun terraces, loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a gym, sauna and massage room (surcharge) as well as a TV room, table tennis and billiards. During the day there are pool games, darts tournaments and activities, and live music and cabarets are regularly performed in the evenings. Children are kept occupied with their own daily programme of activities organised by the "Teddy Club", as well as the kids' playground. Practical amenities include a 24-hour front desk, currency exchange, and a shop for drinks and essentials. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to Maspalomas beach four times a day. Shopping can also be done nearby at the large Faro shopping centre and for golfers Maspalomas golf course is just two kilometres from the complex. There are plenty of family attractions in the area: the Holiday World theme park is just 200 metres away and within five kilometres guests can visit the Aqua Sur Water Park, or see tropical birds in Palmitos Park. Las Palmas Airport is 35 kilometers from the complex.
