The Club Maspalomas 1 is a large holiday complex set in tropical gardens located in the southern part of Gran Canaria, one kilometre from lively Playa del Ingles with its shops, restaurants and nightlife. Accommodation is in 116 single-story bungalows, all of which are designed in a Moorish architectural style with white walls and simple modern interiors. Each bungalow has a bedroom, living area with sofabed and kitchen, bathroom and patio terrace with two sun beds. Amenities include satellite television, refrigerators, hobs, kettles, toasters and coffee makers, and safes. Although the apartments are self- catering, there is a restaurant on site which serves buffet breakfast and dinner daily. Guests can spend lazy days relaxing by the outdoor swimming pools and soak the sun or explore the surrounding tropical gardens. For kids there is a children's pool and playground. The complex also has two tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, and a games area with table football, ping-pong, pool tables and children's games. A free hotel shuttle runs to the nearest beach (two round trips per day) and the complex runs entertainment and sports programmes, available to suit all ages. The 24-hour front desk can advise on sightseeing opportunities and offer currency exchange. There is also a mini market on site. The location is ideal for families as it is 300 metres to a funfair, bowling alley and shopping centre, while Maspalomas beach and dunes are 1.5 kilometres away. Las Palmas Airport is 30 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.
